A handcrafted wooden dreidle opens to reveal an eight-piece Hanukkah set in lost wax cast bronze. This miniature set includes a menorah, ewer, dreidle, oil lamp, a platter of potato latkes, and three gelt. Ziracote wood body with Zebrawood/Ebony handle.

3 3/4" tall x 2 3/4" wide

All sculptures are lost wax cast, polished bronze

 Lost wax casting involving carving an image in wax, creating a mold with steel and plaster. Heating the mold in a furnace causes the wax to melt and run out-therefore "lost" The empty cavity is filled with molten metal.  After cooling, the mold is cut away and the object polished.
