Inspired by the ancient Kauri forests of New Zealand which shed their lower branches as they reach upwards into the sky.

Hand-shaped glass off the pipe, with a coloration created by numerous layers of sifted powder in small quantities and sterling silver foil. Two individual pieces are joined on the pipe to create a statuesque vertical form. The Gossamer Kauri features a delicate coloration with Japanese silver foil, a dusting of white powdered glass, and pops of gold ruby and gold aventurine. The viewer must encircle the piece to appreciate the organic form and subtle colors.
