The Magnolia tree can have blossoms of white, pink, purple, or yellow and this exquisite vase skilfully blends these shades together in swooping bands of luscious color. Glass canes ( a rod of glass composed of one or more layers of color) create this effect with a touch of black for contrast. Softly rounded with an undulating neck, the vase also has patterns cut with a copper-wheel engraver, adding depth, texture, and surface interest.
In world-famous Murano, under the guidance of Glass Master Reno Sciavon, brothers Mattio and Silvio Toso have succeeded in evolving the art of glass while maintaining the tradition of centuries.
