A male and female cardinal perch on a branch among yellow flowers. Their brilliant plumage and red beaks are faithfully rendered in copper and glass enamel on this lovely wall hanging.

The process consists of sifting various colors of French and US-made enamels over carefully formed copper bases. The two are fused in 1600F degree ovens to become one. As the glass melts it becomes smooth and translucent and transforms into brilliant colors that will never fade.
