Eternally popular pansies are the inspiration behind these Pansy Post earrings.  Pansy derives from the French word "pensée", meaning “thought.” Showing white, yellow, purple, or blue shades, with two-sided petals and a single bottom, the Pansy is an iconic garden flower. Cool nights and warm days of both spring and fall, encourage blooms from one to four inches in diameter. 

Cast in hand patinated green bronze with flowers and buds in a variety of purple and yellow cast glass with 24kt gold centers. The posts are 925 silver.

This unique jewelry is made by creating molds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. Michael uses an actual leaf, branch or flower instead of a wax model. A mold is formed around the botanical element and during the heating process the plant matter is burned away leaving behind a detailed image of itself. Soft patinas are then used on cast bronze and further accented with pearls , beads, corals, glass or stones.
