Brilliant Periwinkle Blue Chalcedony drop earrings are simple yet elegant. A chalcedony stone is a crystalline form of silica, composed of very fine intergrowths of quartz and moganite. It has the ability to be colored, as these drops are, in many beautiful shades.

These lovely faceted blue earrings dangle gently from 14K gold fill lever back ear wires. The stones are securely wrapped with delicate gold fill wire for an elegant, modern look that moves easily from day to evening.

The 14K Gold-filled wire in this jewelry, has layers, with a core of jeweler's brass and gold alloy bonded to the surface of the brass core with heat and pressure.

Gold-filled does not de-laminate or peel like plated products. Nor does it tarnish as readily as silver.  From time to time, 14K gold fill may become dirty from everyday wear. To clean gold-filled jewelry, it is best to use mild soap and water. Dry the metal thoroughly after washing.
