A brilliant cherry red cardinal perches on curving red branches against pale gold and red background on this hand blown glass vase. A signature style by this artist is the use of stencils to create the animal, fish and bird designs he is known for.
Each glass vase, hot from the furnace, is rolled across a stencil, in this case elegant, wild horses, picking up the image and fusing it to the body of the vase.
Formulating their own glass combinations, mixing in metal oxides like cobalt, copper, zinc and chrome creates colors unique to the studio.
Bird lovers will treasure this work of art.
