"Gelso" translates to mulberry; a bush that symbolizes fiery passion, love and mystery. Here, deep red shades swirl and mix with gold and black in intriguing patterns of glass cane. Cane is composed of multi-colored glass rods, cut and fused to create designs on the body of blown glass vessels. Copper wheel engraving adds texture, depth and surface interest.

In world-famous Murano, under the guidance of Glass Master Reno Sciavon, brothers Mattio and Silvio Toso have succeeded in evolving the art of glass while maintaining the tradition of centuries.
