Barchetta in Merlot combines traditional Venetian glassblowing techniques and modern design in an elegant fan-shaped vessel. A graceful and striking centerpiece for home or office.
Blown and sculpted free-form, this Merlot Barchetta is graced with swirls of opaque and translucent glass in the rich,pinkish red shades of a fine Merlot wine mixed with hints of aqua and smokey topaz.
Each is unique and will vary.
Incalmo, a 500 year-old Venetian technique that creates cup-shape vessels which are then connected to one another on the blow pipe. Incalmo and reverse incalmo are complex and physically demanding processes for even the most experienced glassblowers. This unusual technique produces large vertical and diagonal bands of color within a vessel.
