Modern, with clean lines, this black zirconium ring has a secret "sleeve" or inside band of richly patterned Koa wood. Perfect as a fashion ring for men and women or a contemporary choice for wedding or commitment bands.

   Zirconium is a very strong, malleable and lustrous silver-gray in its original form. Heavy Stone forms then super heats these rings. The extreme heat causes oxidation and the rings turn black. The oxidization layer is as hard as sapphire and therefore permanent, making this a good choice if you are looking for a super durable ring.

 The beauty of Koa wood is rooted in its unique grain patterns and a variety of colors. It only grows in Hawaii and has played a significant role in ancient Hawaiian history. It can take over 50 years or more before the tree can produce the grain and curl patterns for which Koa wood is known. There is wide demand and popularity of Koa  being used in guitar manufacturing. Koa has a tonal quality that musicians seek. One of these rings is a great gift for guitar players!
