Lively, impressionistic gardens, full of colorful sunflowers, roses, iris, poppies, lilies and more are hand painted on slip cast redware at Jan Hoyman's Ukiah, California studio. Other patterns include hummingbirds, farm scenes with roosters and tractors, and tropical scenes with palm trees, bees fluttering among apple blossoms and lovely blue birds perched in green trees.
Located in an old historic creamery building, Jan and her fellow artisans have been creating this beautiful line of functional ceramics since 1984. She believes in handmade serving pieces that will be used everyday and the bond that creates among friends and family as they enjoy meals together.
The rich red clay body of Jan's designs contrasts earthiness with the exuberant colors and patterns of the glaze work. Please use everyday for serving coffee, tea, salads, dinner, ice tea, milk, fruit, bread, rolls, butter, cookies, turkey, fish and flowers!
