Romeo Glass

Minh was born in Saigon, Vietnam. After years in Southeast Asia, the family moved to Lancaster County. Minh attended Yale University where he studied Geophysics and Environmental Science. The years after school were spent building wooden boats in Austin and Santa Barbara. It was here that he met the Great Bri'oni who apprenticed him in the Art of Glass. A happy accident then stranded him in Staunton, Virginia where he has lived and worked for the past 7 years as a partner in South River Studios.

"I work in blown glass seeking both beauty and functionality. I value well-wrought craftsmanship and believe that the objects we surround ourselves with should engage our affection and elevate our collective identity. I trust that art/craft is the antidote to the "throw-away" culture and that by making durable and precious objects, we enrich ourselves and ensuing generations. To this end, I seek to distill classic ideas and forms into a contemporary aesthetic."
